About the Company

The largest consumer cardio company in the world is Icon Health and Fitness.  The ProForm brand sits in their portfolio along with brands such as  NordicTrack, ProForm, Weider, Reebok and Gold’s Gym.

Most of their products are  targeted the mass home markets, and distributed through big box stores, and online retailers.

The ProForm products are generally middle of the quality spectrum, with prices from about $450 up to $1600.  The quality of the products is acceptable for the price range, but don’t expect these to be stellar.  Warranties tend to be on the short side, unless you are looking at their higher end lines.

We would recommend that for any specific line that you check the reviews in full, some products in their ranges are great, others just OK, and there is plenty of choice out there if you don’t like a particular product of theirs.

Like any big company they produce thousands of units a year, they can only do this if they are good. Which on the whole they are.  However like any volume producer the more you make the more chance of issues creeping in.  Any problems tend to be reported out of proportion of the issue.

We rate Proform Ellipticals as follows
