The M4 Indoor Cycle by Horizon Fitness is a perfect choice for avid cyclists who need to take biking indoors for those days when the weather just doesn’t cooperate. If you’re a fan of spin cycling, then this is also the bike to get.

The M4 has a solid frame that can hold a maximum weight of 285 lbs. It may look light but you don’t need to worry about the bike giving under your weight. It remains strong no matter how fast you go or how hard you work it during your exercise routine. Parts, like the handlebars and the seats, are adjustable so you can fit it around to your preference and lessen any strain on your upper body.

Fitting and Equipment: What you can expect

We really like the M4 Indoor Cycles 42-lb flywheel.  It is sturdy enough for anyone, from starters to avid cyclists who can work the pedals for hours. It also uses a chain-drive system so you can expect a smooth, noiseless and easy ride.

The handlebars are vertical and can be adjusted and so is the seat for a more comfortable ride. Tension is easily adjustable so you can go for an easy ride or a more challenging hike.

You can also customize parts of this bike. If you’re not so keen on the original pedals, you can change it with your pedal of choice. Our preference are cleated pedals, and they are all a standard size.

There’s also a monitor that records and tracks your performance, but you can customize this too and have your own tracking monitor installed with your preferred settings.  The slight downside is that the monitor really only shows the workout duration.  We would like to see a few more features on the console.

A little extra feature is the water bottle attached to the frame so you don’t even need to hop off the bike if you need to grab a drink. This is a nice, thoughtful accessory especially for those who prefer a non-stop, uninterrupted routine.

Warranty

But the best part of the M4 Indoor Cycle is the 10-year warranty on the frame that comes with it. This is more than the usual one year warranty and if you’re an avid cyclist who bikes daily, then you’ve got yourself a deal with the warranty on this bike. A one-year warranty comes with the parts.

Any downsides?

Not really, of course if you spend more then you will have more refinement to your bike.  One slight issue is that the console is really only good as a workout timer.  To be fair you have to spend over $1000 to have more features on the console.  Normally I would wear a chest strap and heart rate watch when spinning.
