For a low impact workout, for me nothing beats cycling. Apart from the odd bit of running my entire cardo work is done in the saddle like that on the Livestrong LS5.0U Upright Bike.
If you haven’t heard of the Livestrong fitness brand, it’s a subsidiary of Johnson Fitness, one of the biggest fitness manufacturers in the world. Their portfolio includes high-end brands such as Matrix, Vision, AFG, and Horizon. They are also the preferred sporting goods manufacturer of a number of gym chains and health clubs all over the world.
The best part about Livestrong is their commitment to cancer survivorship. For every fitness product you buy, you support them in their fight against cancer.

What are others saying about this bike?
“I spent a lot of time reading reviews on exercise bikes, but ultimately decided on this…I’m glad I did! “
“It’s very quiet, and sometimes silent if you pace your rotation correctly, and nothing like the old(!) manual treadmill it replaced.”
“I was extremely happy with the result as well as the service I received from both Livestrong and Amazon.”
Any Negatives?
Really the only issue is the heart rate monitor. It comes built into the handle bars, some commentators would have prefered another set of contacts close together on the handle bars. Also the bike has no way of connecting with a chest HRM. Other than that the bike has received a solid 4 out of 5 stars on Amazon.
