Comprehensive Set of Weights
The XRS 50 uses a simple yet effective system to deliver a solid upper and lower body workout. You will be able to work all the major muscles in the body including back, chest, arms, abs, thighs, butt and hamstrings! The weights rise to just over 100lbs – perfect for providing a good heavy workout that really gets the muscles aching at the end of a workout! There is 112lbs of weight shipped BUT the pulleys have been set up in such a way as to double that weight. The effective weight is closer to 280lbs.
Solid Build Quality and Easy Assembly
Ok so this is a fairly basic entry level home gym, yet the build quality is still pretty good. You need to self assemble which is straight forward, and it goes together well, and feels fairly solid.
Once put together you have a good sized bit of kit, if you are over 6 feet tall you may have to duck a little under the bar. I am 5’10” and this seems about the height that most users feel comfortable at.
Comprehensive Workout Programs
With a little imagination you can perform virtually a full body workout on this machine. Out of the box it includes Lat Pulldown, Chest Press, Chest Fly, Leg Extensions etc.. With the pulley you can go on to do bicep, triceps and shoulders to really help define those muscle groups.

If you are looking for an affordable simple home gym, to keep your muscles toned then you can’t go wrong with the XRS 50 Home Gym from Golds. It is easy to assemble, nice and compact, and will fit into a tiny area. It provides a great range of exercises, and the price is fantastic value.
What we really like is that it can be used at any time, no travelling to the gym or waiting for someone to finish. Having a gym in your home is the ultimate in convenience.
