What are the features of the Schwinn AD2 Airdyne Exercise Bike?

Schwinn AD2 Airdyne Review and Best Price

More than 30 years ago, Schwinn pioneered the Airdyne wind resistance technology and has been helping people attain their fitness goals for decades. This compact but powerful total body machine will more than meet your expectations.

The Airdyne system uses air to provide resistance, rather than a fly wheel.  The faster you pedal the more air needs to be moved and the harder it becomes.  This provides a very smooth and natural method of working out.  There is also the added advantage of the airflow moving round you keeping you cool as you work out.

Performance is at the heart of the Schwinn AD2 design.

It has a synchronized arm and leg motion feature that simulates natural human movement, thereby reducing muscle strain and maximizing the overall benefits of your workout. It also comes with a patent-pending fan design that displaces air effectively for an infinite number of resistance levels. Not only will your workouts be progressive, it will also be challenging and motivating at all times. In addition, it has the same hand-to-pedal linking and geometry as the original Airdynes.

Since your comfort is important in the course of your workout, the Schwinn AD2 comes with stationary foot rest pegs for isolating upper body exercise. It also has a padded seat to make sure you’re comfortable in the same seating position for a long period of time.

More so, to help in tracking your progress, the machine comes with a simple-to-use LCD console with real-time feedback for important workout metrics such as speed, RPM, distance, time, and calories. You don’t have to tinker with extra buttons and a myriad of settings to know that the Schwinn AD2 works for you.

As Schwinn is a brand synonymous for quality, they guarantee no less than the best in all their products. As such, their warranty coverage ensures that they got you covered, in case anything in their manufacturing goes wrong! It has a 5-year frame warranty, a 1-year parts warranty, a 1-year electronics warranty, a 90-day labor warranty and a 90-day wear items’ warranty.

What are others saying about this exercise bike?

Overall this bike scores a strong 4 out of 5 stars on Amazon.  These are some comments from verified buyers of this bike:

“Best Full-Body Bike Workout for Your Money”

“Awesome workout, love that the arms are involved too, makes it like an elliptical but WAY easier on the knees”

“very good bike.worth every penny”

Any Negatives?

The only significant issue is that the Schwinn AD2 saddle is really hard, a few users have commented on this fact.  This is easily remedied by using a gel saddle, or as I do wear a pair of padded cycling shorts.
