The mid range elliptical market is fiercely fought over, NordicTrack will have to be on top of their game to beat the likes of the Schwinn 470 Elliptical review, and the Horizon 59-2 Elliptical.

Who is the Nordic Track c7.5 for?

It is possible to spend a huge amount on an elliptical machine.  We ourselves have spent good money on high end machines for equipping fitness centers and believe that for home use this is just to much.  You can spend less than $1000 and still find a great quality machine that will deliver a solid workout year after year.

This is where the NordicTrack c7.5 comes in.  We like the quality finish and stylish design, along with the range of features packed in all for a great price.

Aside from the basic features that you will find on all other machines at this price, the product is also packed with Jillian Michaels workout programs, Google Maps accessibility, and iFit-enabled technologies that can easily help you monitor your fitness progress easily.

It definitely works best for individuals who plan to spend their exercise time indoors and in the comfort of their homes.

What makes the NordicTrack C 7.5 Elliptical Trainer a Great Buy?

Will it stand up to my needs?

Made with commercial-gauge solid steel, this machine is built to last. It is not only durable; it is also high-performing. It is built with a 20 lb. inertia enhanced flywheel and a 20° digital quick incline, plus it is also designed with silent magnetic resistance and soft touch upper-body grips to help you make the most out of your workouts.

What we like is the focus on how the body is targeted with the resistance.  The Nordictrack knows that we are not really interested in % incline, what we really want to know is what part of our body is being worked.  So rather than the traditional 0-20 degree incline the 7.5C shows Calf, Hamstring and Thighs.  Each level of incline targeting different parts of the leg.

The incline can be changed mid workout, without having to get of the machine.  Also you can spin the pedals backwards and forwards to vary the workout.

Not only that, its adjustable oversized cushioned pedals allow for more comfortable foot positions to deliver a more natural striding experience.

What features does the console have?

Just like any other fitness equipment, the Nordic Track C 7.5 Elliptical Trainer comes with a console that displays workout metrics such as time, speed, distance, resistance, calories burned and heart rate.

However, unlike other consoles, this one comes in a 5” backlit display that makes it perfectly readable for anyone, regardless of their height.

It is also packed with a decent quality fan, that does actually do a good job of keeping you cool.  Plus the built in speakers are a nice touch, a little tinny but better than your average elliptical speakers.

Are there enough workout programs to keep you motivated?

The machine comes with 26 pre-set workout applications and digital resistance levels, which allow you to easily customize your workout.

Also the stride length is adjustable, so if you use the machine after someone a different height from you then at a touch of a button the machine can slide to fit you.

What is iFit?

This is a screen above the console that shows a running track, or when integrated with google maps your local roads.

iFit® is a wonderful technology that makes workouts much more fun and definitely more rewarding. Not only does the NordicTrack C 7.5 Trainer provide you with access to exclusive workout programs designed by Jillian Michaels, it also has a social component that allows you to connect with your friends and compare results with them.

Any Negatives to the C 7.5?

For the price this is a very accomplished machine.  What we would like to have seen are control buttons on the handles, as you find on the (admittedly) more expensive Proform 1110E.  Also there is some assembly required. While this is not to difficult, it will still take a couple of hours, or you can spend a little more on home assembly when you order it.
