Nautilus E614 Elliptical Trainer Review

Ellipticals are a great low impact workout for cardio strength, whether you are new to Elliptical training, or just want to spice up an existing workout then the Nautilus E614 Elliptical Trainer may be worth considering!  New to the market for 2015 its already one of top selling products in its class.  This is probably down to the host of helpful goal setting features that just are not there in other machines for the same money.

Ok, so this is a newly released Elliptical, part of a new range developed by Nautilus, an Iconic fitness brand , to promote healthy and active lifestyles among people all of all ages.

The line features an updated Nautilus LCD display, which I found nice and bright, along with goal tracking settings to set and track time, distance, and calories easily. What we like though is that these workout stats can be uploaded via a USB thumb drive to the website for weekly, monthly, and yearly tracking of progress through an app I use all the time – myfitnesspal.com

What makes the Nautilus E614 Special?

Console.

We like the new Nautilus E614 features such as the new split console that makes fitness tracking easier than ever. It comes with a Duel LCD Window System that allows you to monitor up to 13 different display feedbacks. It also has 29 built-in workout programs, 12 course profiles and 4 user settings The benefit we found is that this will you motivated and challenged for longer.  Its also perfect for holding your tablet so you can keep up with your favourite programs while working out.

Ride Quality.

The new Nautilus is incredibly comfortable.  The E164 delivers a challenging workout in a comfortable upright position with a 20″ stride its perfect for all sizes up to about 6’2″. You can ride forwards and reverse, and you can run with your legs, arms or a combination of both.

Body & Frame Design.

Known for its top-quality design and innovation, has once again pleasantly surprised exercise buffs and newbies alike with a low cost elliptical whose two integrated levelers and a center frame support easily make for a solid workout platform. Plus, it comes with built-in transport wheels that allow for easy movement from room to room.

Advanced Specs.

The Nautilus E614 has 20 resistance levels and a high speed, high inertia perimeter weighted flywheel which keeps workouts smooth and quiet. More so, it comes with acoustic chamber speakers, a USB charging port, a 3-speed fan, a media rack, and contact heart rate monitoring built into the handlebars.

Any negatives?

A couple of users have reported light cosmetic damage on arrival. However they generally report good feedback as the retailer has been good at shipping out replacement parts.  The other feedback is just styling, one reports that the water bottle is not so conveniently placed as they would like!

Our Verdict: New to the market and a deserved top selling machine!

There is no doubt that this is a fantastic machine for the money.  Its currently available for less than $700, which given the features and build quality makes it our favourite elliptical for less than $800.  There are a couple of niggles, such as the lack of bluetooth.  However if you want this then the E616 is available for just $150 more.  For us though unless you need the automatic incline then its hard to justify the extra.

We would defiantly recommend this machine, its strong, durable and comfortable to use.  You probably won’t even use most of the features this machine has to offer, for us the best feature is the tablet storage, we love using the time on the elliptical to catch up with our favourite programs.

As with any big purchase we recommend that you read around before making any commitment.  We are experts on Ellipticals, yet can only spend a couple of hours with any single machine.  Our advice is to read the feedback of everyday users who have used the machines long term, the best source of this is Amazon.
