Ive liked and disliked music from each of these six groups, and though Im bigger fan of some than others, I feel like each is already successful enough that theyre going to be okay no matter what happens over the course of the series. The Boyz have been very up-and-down throughout Kingdom a completely different experience from their consistent dominance on Road to Kingdom. All groups had their ups and downs, and my rankings changed week to week. I just cant get into this song. Compared to many of the other groups, their use of the stage felt more constrained. If I understood Hongjoong correctly, The Real is actually an old song they dug out from the vault. They worked really hard and gave some killer performances. And, the concept of the performance was pretty much what I would have expected from this heavy sound. Groups Debut Dates The first performing boy group is decided by the latter boy group who will themselves be performing last. They are good at making powerful moments. Especially in Road to Kingdom, their performances just didnt feel special and became so predictable. I didnt come for them, but Im definitely turning into a fan. Im very thankful that iKON was part of this show, mostly thanks to their atittude which help lossen up the atmosphere ( and a bit of exposure they gained). But, this time will surely be less dramatic. They certainly dont have a rookie air to them anymore. This was simple, but never boring. At least it was cool in the end. 3rd Round: No Limit Part 1 (Ep. Honestly I felt Eukwang carried most of the humor of the show(as well as Ateez Wooyoung). Main rapper Minhyuk filled the other vocalists part which is a big twist even though Melodys are already aware of his beautiful voice. I dont particularly want to see another Kingdom ever again, but Im still glad we got one. During Mamamoos performance, they were just ooozing with stage presence and really knew how to work with an audience. And from the sound of it, theyve been able to make a few friends with members from other groups. Kpop Who wore it better? Shoutout to BTOB for doing something different I think a more creative spin on the ballad style or more knockout vocals would have made it work even better. I personally liked iKONs and BTOBs performance the best!!! The way they entered is by their seating arrangement in alternate order. This performance followed suit, boasting incredible energy undercut by a fairly dull song. Some performances were fantastic and transcending (Its Raining and a few others) in a way that was very authentic to them, but I feel too bored at the end because of all the other performances.
