The key difference between the old and new models is the display.  The updated Schwinn M17 270 features a totally redesigned new, oversized, console that makes fitness tracking easier than ever. The schwinn 270 scores a solid 4.2 out of 5 stars.  Most users like the elegant design, and the great price.  For a recumbent of this quality I don’t think you will find many cheaper than the Schwinn 270.  It is easy to assemble and all the parts arrive intact.

Any negatives?

A couple of users have reported light cosmetic damage on arrival. However they generally report good feedback as the retailer has been good at shipping out replacement parts.  The other feedback is just styling, one reports that the water bottle is not so conveniently placed as they would like!

We would definitely recommend the Schwinn M17 270 Recumbent Bike for anyone who is looking for a comfortable and durable recumbent exercise bike.  The bike has a great feel, and even if you are not planning on using all the fitness tracking software, the bike itself is exceptional for this price range.
